Here’s a quick update as we get ready for tonight’s showdown between Baylor and Kansas. This is the game of the year to this point, and I’ve been excited to watch it all week.
With a fairly light schedule Monday and Tuesday, we don’t have a ton of changes since my Sunday night update. Most of the movement is around the cut line. As we get deeper into the season, the teams on the top lines have proven that they are good. Teams that have fallen out of consideration (ones who wouldn’t even be close to making the NIT right now) have proven that they are mediocre, or worse.
But teams around the middle seed lines or the first several out? We still don’t really know. A quality win can be eye-opening, like Tennessee over Kentucky or Georgia Tech over Notre Dame last week. Both of those teams are now pushing close to the field after being far from it just a couple of weeks ago.
With that, here’s tonight’s projection.
